With over 300 temples arrayed across the UK – A Gurdwara is a place of gathering and worship for people of the Sikh faith. People from all beliefs and walks of life, are welcomed in. This graphical narative captures the connectivity of how a particular function called ‘Seva’ can unite individuals through food & community.
‘SEVĀ’ is a significant aspect of Sikhism. It is to offer and provide a service back to the community. All Sikhs should be willing to contribute and spare up some of their time, talents and energy in the efforts to help others. The majority of tasks involved are dedicated within the Gurdwaras, where duties involve are involved in areas such as washing dishes, cooking, serving food, cleaning, keeping the temple maintained, working on community langar project, etc.
