Spiced Black Chickpeas -
(चना)
1 – HEAT // Warm up the coconut oil in a pan on a medium heat - add the cumin seeds until the oil begins to become fragrant.2 – FRY // Add the sliced chilli, red onions and garlic into the pan – allow to soften and become slightly coloured.3 – SPICE // Begin to add the spices – Salt, Turmeric, Chilli, Garam masala, Cardamom and Ginger – Let them cook in the oil for 30 seconds.4 – SAUCE // Add the chopped cherry tomatoes and let them soften until it be- comes into a thick fragrant sauce.5 – STEW // Finally add the black chickpeas into the sauce and cover. Stir occasionally and add water if the sauce becomes too thick. (approximately 20 minutes).6 – EAT // Finally garnish the dish with the chopped coriander and serve - Enjoy and share!
